BTS RM to Serve as Keynote Speaker at APEC CEO Summit

BTS leader RM will take the stage as a keynote speaker at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit held in Gyeongju on the 29th. This is the first time a K-pop artist has served as a speaker at an economic forum.

According to industry insiders on the 27th, RM is scheduled to present on the topic of 'Cultural Creative Industries in the APEC Region and the Soft Power of K-Culture' for about 10 minutes starting at 3:05 PM on the second day of the APEC CEO Summit, the 29th. This speech will be part of a cultural session.

While the specific content of RM's speech has not yet been disclosed, industry experts expect him to explain the status and importance of K-Culture based on his experiences as the leader of BTS, in relation to the phenomenon of K-Culture being loved worldwide. Fluent in English, RM is expected to deliver his speech in English before global business leaders.

The APEC CEO Summit is a prominent business forum where leaders from 21 member countries and business leaders gather to discuss innovative industries and new trends that are changing the global economic landscape. This year's event will be held under the theme 'Beyond, Business, Bridge'.

Meanwhile, HYBE, the parent company of BTS's agency Big Hit Music, is participating as a diamond sponsor, the highest level of official sponsorship for this APEC CEO Summit. HYBE is the only entertainment company among the sponsoring firms.

As an official sponsor, HYBE will operate a promotional booth at the event venue, Gyeongju Arts Center, showcasing its global business based on overseas bases in the United States, Japan, China, Latin America, and India. They will also promote the achievements of artists under their multi-label and the light sticks that symbolize K-pop's cheering culture.
