With all members having completed their military service, BTS is reportedly preparing for a large-scale world tour following the release of a new album next spring.
Bloomberg News reported on the 26th (local time), citing sources, that BTS is planning 65 performances worldwide next year, with over 30 of them scheduled to take place in North America.
After all members completed their military service, with Suga being the last in June, BTS is said to be focusing on working on a new album with their agency, HYBE. The new album, their first in six years, is expected to be released at the end of March next year.
BTS canceled their world tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, but held 12 performances in four cities from 2021 to 2022. The last performance with all seven members took place in Las Vegas in April 2022, generating revenue of $18 million (approximately 25.8 billion won).
According to Pollstar, a U.S. concert industry magazine, BTS recorded approximately $300 million (about 430.4 billion won) in revenue from performances between 2015 and 2022. However, it is understood that the actual number of BTS performances is higher than what Pollstar has counted.
Meanwhile, Big Hit Music, BTS's agency, stated regarding Bloomberg's report that "the new world tour schedule and scale have not yet been determined."
