The Jeonju International Film Festival will celebrate its 27th birthday on April 29, 2026.

The Jeonju International Film Festival Organizing Committee announced on October 29 that the 27th Jeonju International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from April 29 to May 8, 2026. The schedule was decided at the board meeting on October 27, where the reappointment of co-chairpersons Min Sung-wook and Jung Joon-ho was also confirmed.

Co-chairpersons Min Sung-wook and Jung Joon-ho have been serving together as co-chairpersons of the Jeonju International Film Festival since the 24th edition, contributing to the establishment of the festival's identity and enhancing its popularity. The call for entries for the 27th Jeonju International Film Festival will begin in November, marking the official start of preparations for the festival.

The 27th festival is expected to attract a high participation of domestic and international film audiences and industry professionals as it will take place during the holiday period, including Labor Day (May 1) and Children's Day (May 5).
