Korean Original Musical 'The Goddess is Watching' Challenges to Enter the London Stage!

A domestic original musical takes its first step towards entering the stage in London, England. The performance distribution company I Love Stage announced on the 29th that it will hold a showcase for the original musical 〈The Goddess is Watching〉 on the 6th of next month at the Diadem Palace Studio in London, England.

This showcase will be conducted in the form of an 'Industry Showcase' aimed at British performing arts industry professionals. Local production staff and actors will present the performance directly. The musical is directed by Allison Pollard, known for 〈The Book of Mormon〉, with Colm O'Regan as the music director. Local actors such as Mia Kobayashi and Chris Fung will perform on stage.

From the Korean side, the original creator, writer Han Jeong-seok, and composer Lee Seon-young participated in the production. Yeonwoo Stage's representative Yoo In-soo and I Love Stage's representative Kim Jun-young also joined.

This showcase was promoted as part of a project supported by the Korean Arts Council. After the performance, a panel discussion will be held to discuss production collaboration plans between the two countries.

〈The Goddess is Watching〉 is a work that deals with the story of North and South Korean soldiers drifting on a deserted island during the Korean War. Since its premiere in 2013, it has consistently received love from audiences.
