The play 'Secret Passage' has revealed a stunning casting lineup ahead of its opening in February 2026.
On the 30th, the production company Content Hub officially announced through its social media that "the play 'Secret Passage' has confirmed the casting of actors Kim Seon-ho, Yang Kyung-won, Kim Sung-kyu, Lee Si-hyung, Kang Seung-ho, and Oh Kyung-joo, and is set to make its debut to the public in February next year."
The play 'Secret Passage' tells the story of two people who, having lost their memories of life, confront each other in a strange space and read about their intertwined memories through books, exploring the connections and death found in the small gaps between life and death, and reflecting on the repeated cycles of life.
Kim Seon-ho, Yang Kyung-won, and Kim Sung-kyu will play the role of 'Dong-jae', a man who seems to have spent familiar times for a long time, while Lee Si-hyung, Kang Seung-ho, and Oh Kyung-joo will take on the role of 'Seo-jin', a man who begins to bombard questions in a strange space.
Challenging the difficult task of playing multiple characters, the six actors, known for their reliable performances, will express the long-repeated themes of life and death in a delicate and delightful manner, enriching the play and already raising expectations for the performance among fans and audiences.
'Secret Passage' is adapted from the original work 'The Conference Room of Gaps' by Tomohiro Maekawa, a playwright and director representing the Japanese theater scene, infused with Korean sentiment and modern sensibilities. He has won multiple awards for Best Director and Best Play at the Yomiuri Theater Awards, Japan's top theater award, and many of his works, such as 'The Invaders Who Take a Walk' and 'The Sun', have been performed as translated plays in Korea, receiving great love.
Additionally, the young artist Min Sae-rom, who has established a unique domain in Korean theater by dealing with human psychology sharply yet warmly, will direct, while translator Lee Hong-gi, who has introduced many of Tomohiro Maekawa's works in Korea, will handle the translation.
Moreover, the production company Content Hub, which develops new and original stories and successfully expands artistic horizons with audiences, will produce the play, further enhancing trust.
Meanwhile, the play 'Secret Passage', which has completed a stunning casting lineup and is emerging as a highly anticipated work for 2026, is set to open in February next year at a performance venue located in Daehak-ro.
