Director Hur Jin-ho's feature debut 〈August's Christmas〉 tells the story of the quiet yet poignant love between Jeong-won (Han Seok-kyu), a photo studio owner living a terminal life, and Darim (Shim Eun-ha), a parking enforcement officer. The story of Jeong-won, who quietly prepares for the end of his life, and Darim, who innocently approaches him, left a deep resonance in the hearts of many. Three years later, his second film 〈Spring Days Go〉 depicts the meeting and love of sound engineer Sang-woo (Yoo Ji-tae) and radio PD Eun-soo (Lee Young-ae), as well as their gradually changing emotions. The short yet intense journey of the seasons that began in Gangwon-do leaves behind iconic scenes represented by lines like "Do you want to eat ramen?" and "How does love change?", and is still regarded as a masterpiece that is most frequently mentioned in the history of Korean melodrama. While 〈August's Christmas〉 captures the beginning of love that quietly deepens, 〈Spring Days Go〉 delicately gazes at the process of love that inevitably changes. Director Hur Jin-ho records the time of love blooming and wilting through the details of everyday life, the sounds of nature, and moments of silence without exaggerating the characters' emotions.

〈August's Christmas〉 received the Best Screenplay Award at the Daejong Film Awards and has been praised for its literary quality to the extent that it was included in high school textbooks. Director Hur Jin-ho has mentioned in interviews that he was worried about whether he could make a good film from the screenplay by the then-screenwriter Oh Seung-wook, which was excellent in itself. This screenplay collection allows readers to see the original screenplay, which includes beautiful stage directions that capture a restrained atmosphere and simple dialogues that leave a lingering impression. Additionally, it includes over 60 high-quality film stills, including previously unreleased behind-the-scenes shots, vividly conveying the film's emotional impact.

The most interesting point of the screenplay collection for 〈Spring Days Go〉 is the gap between the original screenplay and the completed film. The experience of comparing the changes and differences created by the actors and director on set allows us to view a film we thought we already knew from a new perspective. From the terminal scene where Eun-soo and Sang-woo first meet, to the moments of getting closer while collecting the sounds of nature, and the lines that foreshadow their separation, the gap between the text and the film itself allows for another interpretation of 〈Spring Days Go〉. It offers a special reading experience that goes beyond simple text appreciation, tracing Director Hur Jin-ho's directorial intentions and creative process. It also includes high-quality stills of key scenes from the film, allowing for appreciation alongside the screenplay. The recording journey of the two against the backdrop of the sea in Gangneung and the bamboo forest in Samcheok, as well as the process of their gazes changing in everyday life, adds a gentle resonance as the changes of the seasons and the flow of emotions captured in the film blend with the sentences of the screenplay.

Both screenplay collections include in-depth conversations between Director Hur Jin-ho and Cineplay's editor-in-chief, Joo Seong-cheol. From the background of the creation of iconic scenes to anecdotes that arose during actual filming based on the screenplay, as well as directorial intentions and spontaneous choices made on set through communication with the actors, the context of creation that has not been heard until now will be a special record for fans.
