Emma Stone Stars in the Movie 'Bugonia' Opening on the 5th!

The movie 〈Bugonia〉, a Hollywood remake of director Jang Joon-hwan's film 〈Save the Green Planet!〉 (2003), will be released in theaters on the 5th.

〈Bugonia〉 tells the extraordinary story of two young men who believe that the CEO of a famous biotech company is actually an alien trying to destroy the Earth, and they kidnap him.

Although it did not receive much attention upon its release, 〈Save the Green Planet!〉 is regarded as a 'tragic masterpiece' due to its unique setting and strong message, and it has been remade as part of a global project led by CJ ENM.

The film 〈Bugonia〉 has already been invited to compete at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival alongside Park Chan-wook's 〈NO OTHER CHOICE〉, making its debut to film fans worldwide and generating buzz.

In particular, Emma Stone, who plays the kidnapped CEO Michelle, will showcase her dedication to the character by shaving her head, just like Baek Yoon-sik did for the role of CEO Kang in the original.

The two young men who kidnap Michelle, Teddy and Don, are played by Jesse Plemons and Aiden Devine, respectively, who deliver outstanding performances.

This work is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who has built an original body of work with films like 〈Poor Things〉 and 〈THE FAVOURITE〉.
