Megabox Goyang Starfield Store Opens 4th ‘Dolby Vision+Atmos’

Megabox is expanding and enhancing the ‘Dolby Special Hall’.

Megabox (CEO Hong Jeong-in, Nam Yong-seok) will officially open the 'Dolby Vision+Atmos' (Dolby Vision+Atmos) special hall at the Goyang Starfield store, the gateway to northwest Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, on the 14th. This is the fourth in the country following its debut at the East Pole store in Gu, and after the Mokdong and Cheongju Terminal stores, with a total of 218 seats.

‘Dolby Vision+Atmos’ is an integrated solution that combines Dolby's newly introduced ‘next-generation Dolby Vision laser projector’ (Dolby Vision® laser projection systems) and the next-generation immersive sound technology ‘Dolby Atmos’ (Dolby Atmos®). The Dolby Vision laser projector provides rich and deep colors with more than double the brightness compared to regular projectors and a contrast ratio of 1 million to 1, allowing for more sophisticated and vibrant visuals. In addition, the immersive sound provided by Dolby Atmos offers a sense of being right in the middle of the movie scene.

Moreover, at the Goyang Starfield store’s ‘Dolby Vision+Atmos’ hall, you can experience optimal Dolby Atmos sound technology with Meyer Sound speakers, chosen by the world’s best performance venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Opera House.

To celebrate the opening of the Goyang Starfield store’s ‘Dolby Vision+Atmos’ special hall, Megabox will hold various events. First, if you verify your ticket for the ‘Dolby Vision+Atmos’ screening on the day and your preferred location at Goyang Starfield, you will receive mini popcorn and Dolby keyring merchandise on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additionally, there will be a special screening event for the Goyang Starfield store’s ‘Dolby Vision+Atmos’ hall. On the 15th and 16th, you can watch ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’ for a special price of 10,000 won.
