Falling Stars... New Images of 'Super Mario Galaxy' Released

〈Super Mario Galaxy〉 has released new images, conveying the atmosphere of the work.

The movie 〈Super Mario Galaxy〉 is a sequel to 〈Super Mario Bros.〉, which grossed $1.3 billion worldwide in 2023, and confirmed its production in 2024. Later, in September 2025, through a live broadcast by Nintendo, the original game developer and co-producer of the animation, the title 〈Super Mario Galaxy〉 was confirmed.

On November 11, the production team released new images a day before the trailer release. The images depict Toads gazing at falling stars. On such a starry night, Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser, marking the beginning of the original game. With the star-shaped sails of the ship the Toads are on, it is expected that an adventure in space, similar to the original game, will unfold.

〈Super Mario Bros.〉 is currently the highest-grossing game-based movie. It is anticipated whether 〈Super Mario Galaxy〉 can break records once again following its predecessor. The movie is scheduled to be released in April 2026.
