A new long novel by Lee Yeongdo has been published.

Publisher Golden Branch released the long novel 〈Sir Urstam's Last Words〉 on November 11. This novel is a long-awaited work by Lee Yeongdo, who is regarded as a master of Korean fantasy novels such as 〈Dragon Raja〉 and 〈The Bird That Drinks Tears〉, published after 7 years. It is a new work set in the universe of the short story 〈The Dragon of Esoril〉, published in 2009, depicting the story of the popular author Urstam Row, who was murdered and left behind 9 volumes of last words, caught between life and death.

In 2023, Lee Yeongdo's 〈The Bird That Drinks Tears〉 was fully translated and published in Europe, and it was reported that it was sold for an advance payment of over 300 million won, the highest amount for Korean publications exported, drawing attention. Currently, 〈The Bird That Drinks Tears〉 is being developed into a game by a studio under the game development company Krafton, and the related art book 〈Beyond the Limit〉 continues to enjoy popularity even after more than 20 years since its publication.

Golden Branch is promoting the sales of 〈Sir Urstam's Last Words〉 through various promotions, including an interview with Lee Yeongdo on the website BritG and offering different special benefits at various online bookstores.
