Actor Ji-sung is returning to the role of a judge after 5 years.

MBC officially announced on the 12th that the new Friday-Saturday drama 〈Judge Lee Han-young〉 starring Ji-sung, Park Hee-soon, and Won Jin-ah is scheduled to air on January 2, 2026.

In the drama, Ji-sung plays the role of Judge Lee Han-young, who, conforming to power and capital, delivers judgments under the influence of a large law firm and is ultimately abandoned. The story depicts his unexpected return to his younger self 10 years ago and his journey to realize justice in a completely different way.

It has been 5 years since Ji-sung played a judge, last seen in the 2021 tvN drama 〈The Devil Judge〉.

Co-starring Park Hee-soon plays the role of Chief Judge Kang Shin-jin, who has a strong desire for power, while Won Jin-ah plays the role of Prosecutor Kim Jin-ah from the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office, who plans revenge.

The drama is based on a web novel of the same name and has also been adapted into a webtoon. The cumulative views of the web novel and webtoon exceed 100 million.

The direction is handled by Producer Lee Jae-jin, who presented 〈The Spy Who Loved Me〉 and 〈Motel California〉.
