Shun Oguri and Gen Hoshino present a notorious unsolved case to the audience.
〈The Voice of Sin〉 is a film directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi, known for works like 〈I Am Coming to Meet You〉 and 〈I Loved Like a Bouquet〉, based on a novel of the same name inspired by a 1985 unsolved case in Japan. The film stars the popular Shun Oguri and Gen Hoshino, who are also well-loved in Korea.
Set to be released in Korea on November 28, 〈The Voice of Sin〉 unveiled its main trailer on November 17. The trailer captures the essence of a suspenseful investigative drama, featuring a newspaper reporter digging into a past unresolved threat case and a man who discovers that his voice was used in a past crime, inching closer to the truth of the case. Notably, the contrasting expressions of Gen Hoshino as Toshiya Sone, who desperately wants to cover up the case for his daughter, and Shun Oguri as reporter Eiji Akutsu, who feels compelled to solve the case, stimulate interest.
〈The Voice of Sin〉 has won 12 awards in 11 categories at the 44th Japan Academy Awards, receiving acclaim locally, and it will be interesting to see how Korean audiences respond on November 28.
