"Legal Action Will Be Taken" Ador Warns Against Rights Infringement and Deepfake Crimes Targeting NewJeans

NewJeans' management has drawn the sword.

Ador stated on November 17 through the global fan platform Weverse that the infringement of rights against NewJeans (Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) has been intensifying. Ador said, "We have determined that the severity of rights infringement, including the malicious spread of fake news about the artists, invasion of privacy, and the use of insults and derogatory terms, has increased significantly, and we will deploy additional personnel to conduct intensive documentation of these incidents."

In particular, they announced that they would file criminal complaints against those who have continuously posted malicious content through several online sites. They also added that they would take a strong stance against deepfake crimes, stating that requests for settlement from the perpetrators had been rejected.

Following the official announcement that NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein would return to Ador on November 12, Minji, Danielle, and Hani also expressed their intention to return, indicating a full group comeback for NewJeans. However, Ador stated that the three members, apart from Haerin and Hyein, who had direct consultations, would reveal their official position after separate meetings.
