All five members of the girl group NewJeans have confirmed that they have abandoned their appeal regarding the first instance ruling on the validity of their exclusive contract, which was announced last month.

According to music industry officials on the 14th, the five members, including Haerin, Hyein, Minji, Danielle, and Hani, did not submit an appeal to the court by the midnight deadline set for that day. As a result, the first instance ruling confirming the legal validity of the exclusive contract between NewJeans and their agency Ador has become final.

Previously, the 41st Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Jeong Hoe-il) ruled in favor of the plaintiff Ador in the exclusive contract validity confirmation lawsuit filed against the NewJeans members on the 30th of last month. The court stated that the exclusive contract signed between the two parties was valid.

The members' movements to return to their agency have already become visible. Haerin and Hyein officially announced their return to the agency through Ador on the 12th. Ador promised full support to ensure that the two members can smoothly resume their entertainment activities.

The remaining three members, Minji, Danielle, and Hani, also publicly expressed their intention to return on the same day. Ador is coordinating schedules for individual meetings with them and stated that they will make efforts to ensure amicable discussions can take place.
