On the 18th, her agency PEACE announced, "Kang Hye-won has been cast in the role of Park Lin in the Japanese TV TOKYO drama 〈Falling in Love at First Bite〉." This will be Kang Hye-won's first appearance in a Japanese terrestrial drama.

〈Falling in Love at First Bite〉 is a pure love story that captures the genuine feelings of two people who are confused by the cultural and value differences between Japan and Korea but are drawn to each other. Kang Hye-won will play the role of Park Lin, a graduate student who goes to Japan to study animation. Park Lin is a character who lives diligently every day while struggling between the realities of daily life and her future dreams.

Eiji Akaso plays the role of Taiga Hase, who was a promising track athlete in college but experiences a major setback and spends his days in lethargy. The romance between the two begins when Park Lin, who eats the food made by Taiga, finds healing from her hunger and the hardships of studying abroad.

Meanwhile, the Japanese drama 〈Falling in Love at First Bite〉 featuring Kang Hye-won will air every Monday at 11:06 PM on TV TOKYO starting January 12 next year, and will also be released simultaneously on Netflix.
