The Seoul Independent Film Festival 2025, which is expected to be the largest ever, has created a special new space to match its scale. The newly established 'Masterclass' invites masters who have built their unique cinematic worlds from various countries, providing an opportunity to deeply explore the director's worldview and cinematic approach. The first featured guest is the young master of Japanese cinema, director Sho Miyake. On December 2nd (Tuesday) at 7:40 PM, after the screening of 〈Travel and Days〉 which won the Golden Leopard Award at the Locarno Film Festival at CGV Cheongdam Cine City 3, a masterclass will be held, hosted by critic Nam Da-eun. It is expected to be a valuable time to share in-depth insights into the production background, directorial concerns, and the creator's worldview.
The 51st Seoul Independent Film Festival, expanded with various special programs, will meet audiences from November 27 to December 5 at CGV Apgujeong and CGV Cheongdam Cine City.
