The film 〈Hurdle〉 is gaining attention for its meticulous direction and sincere message, drawing the expectations of prospective audiences with the participation of a talented supporting cast that adds emotional depth. The movie 〈Hurdle〉 tells the story of high school hurdler 'Seoyeon' (Choi Yebin), who dreams of joining the Hurdle Professional Team, becoming the sole protector of her father (Kim Young-jae) who suddenly collapses from a stroke, facing the harsh reality.

First, the role of 'Minjeong', Seoyeon's only best friend and rival, is played by Kwon Hee-sung, who makes her screen debut in 〈Hurdle〉. The shining newcomer Kwon Hee-sung showcases incredible stable acting skills in her first film appearance, announcing her successful acting debut as 'Seo Ara', the epitome of girl crush, in LG Uplus X STUDIO X+U's hyper-realism high teen series [Fragile], quickly becoming an icon of the MZ generation and leaving a mark on the public. In the upcoming release of 〈Hurdle〉 on December 3, she delicately expresses the complex inner world of 'Minjeong', who dreams of being an athlete but is in a different situation of taking care of her family alone, capturing the audience's attention. The two character stills released this time not only capture the reality of 'Minjeong' but also reflect the desperate moments of 'Minjeong' who had no choice but to cling to poverty, which can be both a stumbling block on her journey towards her dreams and her only hope, amplifying expectations for Kwon Hee-sung's passionate performance.

Additionally, the role of 'Director Park', who wants to help 'Seoyeon' but feels powerless, is played by Lee Jung-ok, who is active in both dramas and films with his unique personality and outstanding acting skills. He has established himself as a representative scene stealer in South Korea, enhancing the immersion and tension of the story with his refined acting skills and excellent character interpretation honed in hit works such as [Hell is Other People], [Murderer is Awkward], and [Judge from Hell]. In this work 〈Hurdle〉, he portrays 'Director Park', who lives like a family with the track team members, approaching them in a friendly yet sometimes strict manner, deeply depicting the emotional turmoil of knowing the reality of 'Seoyeon' and 'Minjeong' but being unable to help them, enriching the narrative. The two character stills released capture moments that seem to show a firm expression as if scolding someone, and discussing the future of the track team kids with local officials, adding credibility to the performance of actor Lee Jung-ok's character 'Director Park'. The film 〈Hurdle〉, which offers heartfelt empathy and emotion created by a combination of a talented cast, will be released in theaters nationwide on December 3.
