Actor Lee Lee-kyung Breaks Month-Long Silence and Speaks Out on Personal Life Rumors

Actor Lee Lee-kyung, who had maintained silence for about a month after the spread of personal life rumors that emerged last month, expressed his grievances for the first time.

On the 21st, Lee Lee-kyung revealed through his social media service (SNS) that he had completed the procedures for filing a defamation complaint due to threats and false facts at the Gangnam Police Station a few days ago. He also shared a photo of the complaint.

He expressed his feelings, saying, "Every moment I felt anger rising," and that a person claiming to be a German, whose identity and existence have not been confirmed, repeatedly appeared and disappeared after spreading rumors.

He continued, "The suspect will soon be identified," and stated, "Even if they are in Germany, I will go directly to submit the complaint there," taking a firm stance. He also warned that there would be "absolutely no leniency" for those who write malicious comments.

Additionally, he expressed his disappointment towards the production team of the MBC entertainment program 〈What Do You Do When You Play?〉 as he was advised to step down as soon as the rumors spread. He explained, "The rumor spreader claimed it was fabricated and disappeared in a day, but I was advised to step down from the show and chose to resign voluntarily." Lee Lee-kyung has been active in 〈What Do You Do When You Play?〉 since 2022 for three years.

Meanwhile, he shared that he recently finished filming the movie 〈Generation Regret〉 and that filming for a Vietnamese movie and overseas dramas and entertainment shows is proceeding normally. He also added, "I thank those who have believed in me and kept their loyalty, including 〈I Am Solo〉, 〈Brave Detectives〉, and 〈Handsome Guys〉."

The rumors began when a revealing post mentioning Lee Lee-kyung was published in an online community at the end of last month. The author of the post later apologized, claiming that the conversation with Lee Lee-kyung was fabricated using artificial intelligence (AI), but recently reversed their statement, saying all evidence is true, escalating the controversy.
