SEVENTEEN Releases Special Music Video 'God of Music' in Collaboration with the Smurfs!

The group SEVENTEEN has unveiled special video content in collaboration with the world-renowned animated character, the Smurfs. Their agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced on the 26th that the special music video featuring SEVENTEEN's song 'God of Music' in collaboration with the Smurfs has been released.

The Smurfs' rights holder, Peyo Company, officially released this collaboration video the previous day at 11 PM. The music video was produced by combining original footage filmed in Budapest, Hungary, with new characters that blend the popular Smurfs animated characters and the personalities of SEVENTEEN.

The video features iconic characters such as Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and Clumsy Smurf appearing alongside the members of SEVENTEEN. They visually embody the message of the song that sings about a world united through music, harmoniously coming together.

In particular, the scene where the Smurf characters showcase the signature choreography of 'God of Music' alongside SEVENTEEN catches the eye. In the latter part of the video, a new Smurf character inspired by SEVENTEEN appears, drawing the attention of fans.

This collaboration began from the fact that both the release date of 'God of Music' and the birthday of the Smurfs coincide on October 23, and that both contents share the common value of coexistence and harmony.

Veronique Culliford, the daughter of the Smurfs' creator Peyo and the head of Peyo Company, explained about this collaboration, stating, "We made joy and friendship our core values," and emphasized that "the philosophy of the Smurfs, which aims to bring more laughter, joy, and harmony to the world, is embodied in this collaboration." She also expressed that "if her father, the original creator Peyo, were alive, he would have been very proud of this collaboration."
