'Chef of Antarctica' Baek Jong-won, Lim Soo-hyang, Suho, and Chae Jong-hyeop Finally Begin Preparing Their First Dinner

'Antarctica Honorary Members' Baek Jong-won, Lim Soo-hyang, Suho, and Chae Jong-hyeop treated the wintering members to their first dining experience.

On the broadcast aired on the 24th, 〈Climate Environment Project - Chef of Antarctica〉 (hereafter 〈Chef of Antarctica〉) featured the four honorary members who entered the 'Antarctica King Sejong Station' starting their first dinner preparation.

The first menu included chicken naan bread made from chicken meat that had been frozen for over a year, sausage fusilli stir-fry, and seasoned canola greens. Since all the ingredients were frozen solid, thawing was the first step. They thawed in cold water to maintain taste and texture, but even after an hour, it was still difficult to separate, and Chae Jong-hyeop spent a total of 40 minutes manually pulling apart the chicken pieces for thawing. Having completed special training to become a 'frying master' before entering Antarctica, Chae Jong-hyeop confidently finished the fried chicken. Suho finely chopped the softened pickled radish after thawing to preserve the crunchiness of the tartar sauce. With careful plating added, they were able to provide the wintering members with a true 'Antarctica's First Dining Out' experience.

The wintering members, who have endured 11 months of life in the distant and harsh land of Antarctica, could not hide their excitement for a meal prepared by others, not just the usual chef Ahn Chi-young. While the honorary members waited nervously, the wintering members repeatedly exclaimed, "It's delicious!" praising the meal. The texture of the seasoned canola greens was also alive, leading to reactions of "It's refreshing," which brought smiles to the four honorary members. In particular, chef Ahn Chi-young, who usually only took care of the members' meals and ate alone, spent a meaningful time sitting at the table with everyone. Chae Jong-hyeop expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you so much for enjoying the meal," and Suho also vowed, "I will prepare another delicious meal next time."
