Hive Donates 500 Million Won for Recovery from Hong Kong Fire Disaster

Hive expressed its condolences for the Hong Kong fire disaster and donated a recovery fund.

On November 26 (local time), a fire broke out in a high-rise apartment in the Tai Po district of northern Hong Kong. The fire quickly escalated, making it difficult to extinguish, resulting in 83 deaths and 76 injuries. At the time, around 200 people were reported missing, but the Hong Kong Fire Services Department stated that they would announce an accurate count after completing search and rescue operations.

In response, the South Korean entertainment company Hive Music Group expressed its condolences for the Hong Kong apartment fire disaster and donated 500 million won for recovery efforts. The six labels, including Big Hit Music, Belift Lab, Source Music, Pledis Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, and Ador, stated, "We deeply sympathize with everyone who is experiencing great sorrow due to this sudden news. We hope the damage in the accident area is quickly resolved and recovery can take place." The 500 million won is approximately 2.66 million US dollars in Hong Kong dollars.

Meanwhile, the 2025 MAMA AWARDS, which were in consideration of being canceled due to the Hong Kong fire, are scheduled to be held as planned on November 28 and 29.
