'2025 MAMA Awards' Held Amidst Hong Kong Fire Tragedy, Proceeding as Scheduled in Mourning Atmosphere

Despite the mourning atmosphere due to the large-scale apartment fire tragedy in Hong Kong, the '2025 MAMA Awards' will be held as scheduled over two days starting from the 28th.

The organizers, CJ ENM, have decided to scale down the event and conduct the awards ceremony in a way that reflects the meaning of mourning, considering the tragic situation in Hong Kong. A moment of silence for the victims will be arranged separately, and donations to assist in recovery efforts will also take place.

The originally planned red carpet event has been completely canceled in light of the local atmosphere. In contrast, the main awards ceremony will be broadcast live as planned, focusing on a stage setup that conveys comfort and hope rather than extravagant production.

According to event officials, some special effects and stage productions are also expected to be adjusted in consideration of the tragedy.

The '2025 MAMA Awards' will take place on the 28th and 29th at 7:30 PM Korean time at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. Top domestic artists such as AlphaDriveOne, BabyMonster, ENHYPEN, Hearts2Hearts, TWS, Stray Kids, ZeroBaseOne, and G-Dragon are expected to take the stage.
