Disney 'Zootopia 2' Takes First Place at Weekend Box Office... Surpasses 2 Million Viewers in Opening Week

Disney Animation 〈Zootopia 2〉 has topped the weekend box office in its opening week, surpassing 2 million viewers.

According to the integrated ticket sales network on the 1st, 〈Zootopia 2〉 was viewed by over 1.62 million people from the 28th to the 30th of last month, recording a revenue share of 79.0% to take first place. The cumulative audience for this film, which opened on the 26th of last month, has exceeded 2.1 million.

The new adventure featuring fox Nick, who has become a police officer, and rabbit Judy in 〈Zootopia 2〉 is a sequel to the beloved original that attracted 4.71 million viewers nine years ago.

During the same period, 〈Wicked: For Good〉 came in second with 130,000 viewers (6.9% share), while 〈Now You See Me 3〉 ranked third with 120,000 viewers (5.8% share). 〈Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc〉 and 〈KOKUHO〉 attracted 40,000 and 20,000 viewers, respectively, taking fourth and fifth place.

As of the morning of the 1st, 〈Zootopia 2〉 recorded a reservation rate of 40.9%, securing over 110,000 reservations, indicating that its box office momentum is expected to continue. Upcoming releases on the 3rd include 〈The Informant〉 (30,000), 〈JUJUTSU KAISEN: Shibuya Incident /Culling Game - The Movie〉 (20,000), and 〈The People Upstairs〉 (20,000), which are also among the top reservations.
