'El Seong-cheol' is returning from January 2026.

'Death Note', which opened on October 14 and is currently running, will see Kim Seong-cheol join as El starting in 2026. On December 2, Kim Seong-cheol's agency released behind-the-scenes photos of him shooting the poster for 'Death Note'.

Kim Seong-cheol has played the role of El since the 2022 performance, meeting many audiences. Ahead of this performance, he stated in an interview, "After reviewing the original work, I noticed a lot of honorifics, so this performance will be done using honorifics," indicating that he will showcase a character performance that has evolved with unique details.

'Death Note' depicts the intellectual battle between Yagami Light, who picks up the Shinigami's notebook, and the genius detective El who pursues him. The currently running 'Death Note' will have a long run until May 10, 2026.
