It has been reported that Korea is excluded from the global tour schedule of 〈Avatar: Fire and Ash〉, which is set to be released on December 17. After its world premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, USA on December 1, the global tour will start in Paris, France on the 5th and will continue through a total of 11 cities, including Sanya, China (8th), Tokyo, Japan (10th), and London, UK (11th), leading to the official tour event in Toronto, Canada (17th). According to various media reports, there are no plans for a visit to Korea.

Both of the previously released 〈Avatar〉 series surpassed 10 million viewers, indicating the tremendous domestic success of 〈Avatar〉. The original 〈Avatar〉 (2009) attracted 13.62 million viewers, and the sequel, 〈Avatar: The Way of Water〉 (2022), met with 10.8 million viewers. Notably, 〈Avatar: The Way of Water〉 was the first film to surpass $2 billion in global box office revenue after the COVID-19 pandemic, and it also surpassed 10 million viewers domestically. During its release, key production and cast members, including director James Cameron, producer Jon Landau, and actors Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, and Sam Worthington, visited Korea to meet with fans.

In the third series, 〈Avatar: Fire and Ash〉, directed again by James Cameron, new tribes and creatures such as the ‘Ash Tribe’ and ‘Wind Traders’ will be introduced, showcasing a Pandora that has never been seen before. The story involves new crises facing the ‘Sully’ family, who lost their precious family members in 〈Avatar: The Way of Water〉. Returning actors from the previous series, including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet, will reprise their roles, and the performances of new characters played by actors such as Una Chaplin and David Thewlis are highly anticipated.
