Choi Ji-woo's return to the screen will hit theaters in January 2026.

The movie 〈Sugar〉 is a human drama based on a true story that captures the fierce love and growth of a mother, 'Mira', who creates medical devices herself to overcome legal and regulatory barriers for her young son diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It has garnered attention as Choi Ji-woo's return to the screen after 3 years since 〈New Normal〉 in 2023.

In the film, Choi Ji-woo plays the role of Mira, a mother who stands against the world to protect her son. Through this work, she is expected to showcase her strong maternal love that knows no bounds for her child and her boldness in raising her voice against the world. Choi Ji-woo's sincere performance, stripped of glamour, is anticipated to resonate deeply with the audience.
