Hyundai Mobis is carrying out various social contribution activities based on its long-term CSR vision of being a ‘beautiful partner creating a sustainable future’. As a leading company in future mobility technology, the values the company pursues, such as safety, eco-friendliness, and talent development, are fully reflected in its activities, and employees actively communicate with various stakeholders, including partners and local communities. Through this, Hyundai Mobis has been selected as a ‘Best Rated’ company in the government’s co-growth index evaluation for six consecutive years until last year, growing into a representative model company for coexistence in the industry.

■ Archery as a Lifestyle Sports Culture Item for Everyone
Hyundai Mobis is expanding the base of archery and supporting it to establish archery as a physical activity for youth. In July, Hyundai Mobis held the ‘2025 Hyundai Mobis School Sports Club Archery Competition’ at Namseoul University in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do. The school sports club refers to the physical hobby activities of students operated by schools according to relevant laws as an after-school class. Since 2022, Hyundai Mobis has been jointly holding this competition twice a year with the Korea Archery Association. This event serves as a place to support and encourage schools and students that have introduced archery into their school sports clubs, and over 300 students from 21 middle schools across the country participated in this competition, showcasing fierce competition. Players from the Hyundai Mobis Women’s Archery Team also volunteered their talents, demonstrating how to shoot arrows to the students and engaging in event matches with them. The number of schools and students participating in this competition has steadily increased over the past four years, contributing to the popularization of archery as a lifestyle sport.
Hyundai Mobis, which has operated a women’s archery team for over 40 years, is taking the lead in fostering archery as a lifestyle sport that everyone can enjoy. Since 2017, Hyundai Mobis has been running the ‘Junior Archery Class’ program as a social contribution activity, laying the groundwork for spreading archery as a school sports club. Currently, it plans to encourage more schools to participate so that archery, which is being piloted in school sports clubs, can be adopted as an official event. In fact, Hyundai Mobis has been actively supporting various activities to officially incorporate archery into school sports clubs starting this year. Together with the Korea Archery Association, it is revising the school distribution archery rules and providing professional curricula and teaching materials. It also supports training for teachers from regional education offices leading the clubs and plans to sponsor archery competitions held by school sports clubs in each region.
Hyundai Mobis’s social contribution activities are also attracting attention as group programs where employees participate with their families or colleagues. Such activities are significant in that they allow employees and their families to empathize with local community issues and directly work to improve them. A representative example is the activity of painting street fire hydrants in the form of ‘little firefighters’ in cooperation with local fire stations. This activity is a volunteer effort to improve visibility by brightly painting aging above-ground fire hydrants and to prevent illegal parking near fire hydrants. Above-ground fire hydrants are installed mainly at the boundary points of sidewalks and roads, making them crucial facilities for drawing up the first firefighting water in case of a fire, thus maintaining the golden time for fire suppression. Last year, nearly 200 employees and their families participated in this activity, and over 100 participated in the first half of this year, transforming aging fire hydrants in urban areas into bright and noticeable appearances. Along with the fire hydrant painting activity, fire prevention supplies and fire extinguishers were also donated to vulnerable welfare facilities in the service area.
Hyundai Mobis has been recognized for its contributions to solving community issues through such diverse social contribution programs and has been selected as a recognized company in the ‘CSR in the Community’ program jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Social Welfare Council for three consecutive years. Hyundai Mobis received excellent evaluations in all areas of social contribution activities, including environmental protection, social responsibility, and transparent management. Hyundai Mobis was also awarded the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the ‘2024 Korea Volunteer Awards’ for its contributions to solving social issues through employee volunteerism, including environmental conservation, safety issues, support for marginalized groups, and cultural heritage preservation.
Hyundai Mobis is strengthening its status as a representative model company for co-growth in the industry through various win-win programs, including support for the development of new technologies for partners, strengthening ESG capabilities, and consulting on industrial safety activities. In particular, this year, Hyundai Mobis introduced ‘Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) consulting’ to systematically calculate carbon emissions to strengthen the ESG capabilities of its partners. Life Cycle Assessment is a system that evaluates environmental impacts by analyzing inputs and outputs occurring throughout the entire process from raw materials to production and disposal of products, and it was introduced in response to the recent demands of global customers for carbon emission calculations. Hyundai Mobis has recently supported free consulting programs to help partners learn relevant knowledge and trends and discover applicable solutions for each company amid the strengthening trend of ESG management in the industry. Additionally, Hyundai Mobis has newly introduced the ‘Mobius Bootcamp’ this year to cultivate talent in the mobility software (SW) field, leading to partner recruitment, which has received a great response from partners. A total of 300 participants have been selected for the first ‘Mobius Bootcamp’ launched this year to receive specialized training in the mobility SW field.
In addition, Hyundai Mobis is implementing various support policies for partners, including supply chain management, transparent transactions and payment systems, ESG and industrial safety, technical support, and intellectual property protection. In fact, over the past three years, Hyundai Mobis has provided a total of 180 billion won for the development of new products and technologies for domestic partners, and the number of patents jointly applied for with partners has exceeded 850. Currently, Hyundai Mobis maintains cooperative relationships with approximately 4,100 domestic and international partners and practices win-win management centered on four strategies: ▲ strengthening global competitiveness ▲ fostering a culture of co-growth ▲ creating a sustainable environment ▲ communication and trust.

■ Eco-friendly ecosystem conservation activities involving overseas employees attract attention An ecological conservation activity was conducted to release 3,000 juvenile Miho loach, a natural monument and a first-class endangered species, with the participation of domestic and international employees, local residents, and officials from related organizations in the Miho River area in Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk. The Miho loach is a native freshwater fish that only inhabits the inland rivers of central Korea and is designated as a first-class endangered species by the Ministry of Environment due to habitat reduction and water pollution, making it a species that urgently needs to be secured and protected.

■ ‘Safety First’ Comprehensive Safety Experience Land operated nationwide. Hyundai Mobis is continuously strengthening its social contribution activities for preventing traffic accidents involving children and spreading a safety culture. It is conducting the representative social contribution activity ‘Transparent Umbrella Sharing Campaign’ and expanding the operation of the ‘Comprehensive Safety Experience Land’ program, which is a traffic and disaster safety education program for children. Recently, Hyundai Mobis has joined forces with the Korea Educational Facilities Safety Agency, the Korea Road Traffic Authority, and the Korea Children’s Safety Foundation to jointly operate the 「Children’s Comprehensive Safety Campaign」. The aim is to strengthen children’s safety education in collaboration with educational safety specialized institutions and spread a safety culture for future generations.
