CJ CheilJedang's Bibigo meets global K-food consumers through Netflix 〈Chef's Table〉.
CJ CheilJedang announced on the 18th that it has introduced a dedicated pantry for chefs in the Netflix variety show 〈Chef's Table: Culinary Clash Season 2 (hereinafter Chef's Table 2)〉. Following last year's collaboration product with 〈Squid Game〉 Season 2, this time it plans to once again imprint 'Bibigo', a key player in the globalization of K-food, on the world stage by participating in 〈Chef's Table 2〉.
The pantry prepared by CJ CheilJedang appeared in the episode released on the afternoon of the 16th. The pantry, featuring a large 'Bibigo' logo, is stocked with various ingredients needed for cooking. CJ CheilJedang provided a wide range of items from basic ingredients like gochujang, doenjang, ssamjang, sauces, sugar, salt, olive oil, and 1-minute rice to representative products like cooked rice, dumplings, kimchi, seaweed, tofu, and ham, supporting the participating chefs to showcase their best skills.
〈Chef's Table〉 is a survival cooking variety show featuring 'black spoon' chefs from the underground and 'white spoon' star chefs, and last year's Season 1 gained immense popularity by becoming the first Korean variety show on Netflix to rank first in the global top 10 for three consecutive weeks, sparking worldwide interest in K-food and Korean chefs.
Meanwhile, CJ CheilJedang plans to introduce various collaboration products in the future as part of its participation in 〈Chef's Table 2〉.
A CJ CheilJedang official stated, "Not only do we have a diverse product portfolio representing K-food, including 'Bibigo', but we have also been working hard to discover and nurture young Korean chefs through 'Cuisine K', so the significance of supporting 〈Chef's Table 2〉 is great," and added, "We will continue to introduce the charm of K-food to consumers around the world through collaborations with global content."
