Gong Seung-yeon X Kim Jae-young 'We Will Substitute Your Travel', Airing on January 8th on NHK

A Japanese bestseller is reborn as a K-drama and heads back to Japan. The healing drama 〈We Will Substitute Your Travel〉, starring actors Gong Seung-yeon and Kim Jae-young, is set to target the Japanese audience through the public broadcaster NHK.

Production company Big Ocean ENM announced on the 18th, "The drama 〈We Will Substitute Your Travel〉 will meet local viewers through NHK starting January 8, 2026."

This work is a drama based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Japanese author Maha Harada. It tells the story of a travel reporter who embarks on journeys on behalf of various clients, rediscovering the essential values and meanings of life in the process.

Gong Seung-yeon plays the lead role, with Kim Jae-young and Yoo Joon-sang also appearing, enhancing the quality of the work. It was first broadcast in Korea on Channel A this August.

A representative from Big Ocean ENM stated, "The original novel has already secured a wide readership in Japan," and added, "We expect that the NHK airing will provide deep comfort and empathy to local viewers."
