Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won Win Grand Prize at '2025 KBS Acting Awards'

Actors Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won jointly received the grand prize at the 〈2025 KBS Acting Awards〉.

On December 31, at the live broadcast of the '2025 KBS Acting Awards' held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won from the weekend drama 〈Please Take Care of Eagle Five!〉 received the prestigious grand prize together.

Upon taking the stage, Ahn Jae-wook expressed his emotions, saying, "I always thought the grand prize was an award that had nothing to do with me, but such a day has come for me." He candidly reflected on his past, stating, "Every time I was busy with activities, I saw big awards passing me by, and I felt self-reproach and complained about it." He continued, "Last year, while listening to the acceptance speech of the late Lee Soon-jae, I felt a lot. Even a teacher who has acted for such a long time is so humble and grateful, and I realized my own capacity was too small." He added, "It's my first time receiving a grand prize, and it would have been an unparalleled honor to receive it directly from the teacher, but I feel very regretful and miss him," paying tribute to the late actor.

Co-winner Uhm Ji-won broke down in tears while recalling the late Lee Soon-jae and other senior actors. She said, "Thank you for giving me such a great award. I apologize for getting emotional after watching the video of Lee Soon-jae." Uhm Ji-won shared, "I started acting in the morning drama 〈Golden Carriage〉 in 2002. At that time, the late Yeo Woon-gye was my grandmother, and in 2011's 'No Children, No Problem,' Lee Soon-jae was my grandfather," expressing her gratitude, saying, "Senior actors and teachers were such great acting mentors."

Meanwhile, Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won won the grand prize for the first time at the terrestrial broadcasting three companies' acting awards, and 〈Please Take Care of Eagle Five!〉 won 11 awards that day, shining a light on KBS dramas in 2025.
