Seoul City has chosen the rookie group KiiiKiii as the messenger to promote 'Morning Yellow', selected as the color of Seoul for 2026.
On the 21st, Seoul City announced that it has appointed the K-pop rookie group KiiiKiii as the ambassadors for 'Seoul Color'.
The Seoul Color ambassadors are responsible for conveying the Seoul Color, developed to capture the daily life and emotions of Seoul, in a friendly manner to citizens, and promoting the vibrant image of Seoul through major spaces and content.
Since 2024, Seoul City has been selecting and announcing the Seoul Color, and the 2026 Seoul Color, 'Morning Yellow', is inspired by the morning sun that signals the start of a smooth day.
Seoul City explained the background of the appointment, stating, "KiiiKiii's bright and positive image, along with their free and refreshing concept, aligns with the vitality and emotions that the Seoul Color embodies."
Seoul City plans to expand promotions in collaboration with KiiiKiii to ensure that the Seoul Color can be more naturally experienced and utilized in the daily lives of citizens.
KiiiKiii will participate in the production of image and video content themed around Seoul Color and Seoul Light, and will introduce content filmed at locations that embody Seoul Light on their official channels.
As their first content, they filmed short forms at Seoul Light landmarks such as Namsan Tower, Cheonggyecheon (Narae Bridge, Ogan Bridge), and Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). The filmed content will be released sequentially on KiiiKiii's official SNS channels and Seoul City's official SNS and other online channels.
Choi In-kyu, the Design Policy Director of Seoul City, stated, "We will continue to promote a bright and attractive city image based on Seoul's design assets, including the Seoul Color, both domestically and internationally."
