Actor Choi Woo-shik shared his thoughts on reuniting with Director Kim Tae-yong, the 'Giant'.
On the afternoon of the 29th, a press screening and conference for the movie 〈Number One〉 took place at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall. On this day, Director Kim Tae-yong and actors Choi Woo-shik, Jang Hye-jin, and Gong Seung-yeon responded to questions from the press.
The film 〈Number One〉, set to be released on February 11, tells the story of Hamin (Choi Woo-shik), who begins to see a number decreasing every time he eats his mother's food, and learns that when the number reaches 0, his mother Eunsil (Jang Hye-jin) will die, prompting him to do everything he can to protect her.
This film is a collaboration once again between Director Kim Tae-yong of 〈Giant〉 and actor Choi Woo-shik. Choi Woo-shik expressed, "〈Giant〉 was a project from about ten years ago. I was 24 at the time, and the director was 27. Both of us had little experience back then. Looking back after ten years, we both have gained more experience. So, I participated with even more enjoyment this time."
Director Kim Tae-yong commented on reuniting with Choi Woo-shik, saying, "Back during 〈Giant〉, I said, 'Choi Woo-shik's acting is a miracle.' This time, Choi Woo-shik's acting was also a miracle." He also reflected, "If parenting is the expertise of Teacher Oh Eun-young, then I treated Choi Woo-shik as if I were the expert" regarding their second collaboration.
The movie 〈Number One〉 will be released on February 11.
