The film 〈Freelance〉, featuring explosive action from John Cena, will be available to domestic audiences on February 11.
〈Freelance〉 is a collaboration between director Pierre Morel, known for action masterpieces 〈Taken〉 and 〈District 13〉, and action star John Cena, who comes from a wrestling background. The story follows former special forces agent 'Mason' (John Cena), who, while trapped in a boring routine, takes on the task of protecting journalist 'Claire' (Alison Brie) as she attempts to interview a dictator, only to get caught up in an unexpected military coup.
The released main poster and trailer depict the urgent process of Mason, who thought he was on a peaceful security mission, risking his life to protect Claire due to the sudden coup. Filmed on location in Colombia, the movie vividly captures the rough and humid atmosphere of South America, with cinematographer Thierry Arbogast, known for 〈Léon〉 and 〈The Fifth Element〉, contributing to its high-quality visuals.
Portraying the most dangerous yet delightful escape story, 〈Freelance〉 will be available for home viewing through various VOD services such as IPTV (GENIE TV, SK B tv, LG U+ tv) and Home Choice starting February 11.
