Cat's Eye Yoonchae Reveals Meeting Rosé at the Grammys on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

Yoonchae, a Korean member of the HIVE-Korea and US joint girl group Cat's Eye (KATSEYE), revealed her meeting with Rosé from BLACKPINK at the 68th Grammy Awards.

On the 4th (local time), Yoonchae appeared on the US NBC talk show 〈The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon〉 with her Cat's Eye members and said, "I have been a fan of BLACKPINK since I was 9 years old. When I ran into Rosé at the awards ceremony, I wanted to greet her in Korean, but I was so nervous that I couldn't speak properly and greeted her in English instead."

She continued, "After I spoke, Rosé asked me, 'Do you speak Korean?' and we exchanged greetings. She was really kind," sharing the situation at that time.

Cat's Eye was nominated in two categories, including 'Best New Artist', at the Grammy Awards held on the 1st, and showcased their performance of 'Gnarly'. Rosé was nominated in three categories, including 'Song of the Year', and beautifully opened the awards ceremony.

The members of Cat's Eye expressed, "We were so nervous because many top artists like Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Bad Bunny were watching our performance."

Additionally, the members mentioned, "We have a lot planned for this year," indicating that they are preparing for various activities including the release of new songs.

They also shared their thoughts on filming a campaign advertisement for State Farm, an American insurance company, which will be aired during the NFL Super Bowl on the 9th. The Super Bowl is the largest sports event in the US, with over 120 million viewers last year.

When host Fallon said, "The Grammys are a big stage, but the Super Bowl might be an even bigger stage," member Lara replied, "My father told me, 'I am proud of you.'"

Meanwhile, Cat's Eye has been nominated in four categories for the iHeartRadio Music Awards to be held next month, and they are set to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
