'A trusted actor' Lee Je-hoon is returning this time as a weirdo.
According to SBS on the 12th, the new SBS drama 〈There is a Chance〉 has confirmed the casting of Lee Je-hoon and Ha-young and is preparing to target the home theater in 2027. 〈There is a Chance〉 is a cheerful comedic legal detective story where a quirky office manager 'Kwon Baek', a former lawyer, leads a ragtag law firm to victory in seemingly hopeless battles in an unprecedented way. The drama is directed by Kwon Da-som, who showcased a stylish direction through 〈Connection〉 and 〈My Demon〉, and the writers Jung Jin-young and Kim Ui-chan, who led the golden age of sitcoms in South Korea with 〈Hospital Playlist〉 and 〈You Can't Stop Them〉, are collaborating, raising expectations.
In the drama, Lee Je-hoon plays 'Kwon Baek', a former star lawyer who lost his license due to a bribery scandal. After experiencing both glamorous success and a fall from grace, he is equipped with composure and cunning, and he transforms into a quirky character who will not shy away from anything, from undercover investigations to flashy shows, to uncover the truth, marking a new milestone in his career.
Ha-young, who has been chosen as Lee Je-hoon's partner, plays 'Yeo Shim-hee', a rookie lawyer who endures solely with diligence. After receiving a scouting offer from Kwon Baek, who was her role model, she becomes the chief lawyer at the law firm 'There is a Chance', witnessing the genius side of her once-broken role model and growing into a true lawyer. The two will show a multi-dimensional partnership that goes beyond the relationship of a boss and subordinate, embracing each other's wounds.
SBS 〈There is a Chance〉 is set to air in 2027.
