Band Nell Releases Mini Album 'X : 3 / ?' After 5 Years... Pre-release Ahead of May Regular 10th Album

The band Nell has announced the release of their new mini album 'X : 3 / ?' on the 2nd, according to their agency Space Bohemian.

This mini album is presented in a pre-release format ahead of the upcoming release of their regular 10th album in May, capturing Nell's unique dreamy and deep sound.

The album includes three tracks, including the title track 'Deep Inside'. 'Farewell Song' describes the moment of accepting the process of precious things breaking down, based on alternative and post-rock, while 'I Will Always Be' features an impressive shoegaze tone in its outro.

The title track 'Deep Inside' stands out with Nell's unique dreamy and warm sensibility, delicately expressing feelings of regret, resentment, and sorrow towards something that could not be protected. It starts with piano and gradually adds guitar, bass, strings, and sequenced sounds, with lyrics like 'I fall asleep using thoughts of you as my blanket' and 'In the depths of my heart, it always rains you' revealing Nell's characteristic intimate emotions.

This mini album was completed over approximately five years since the release of their regular 9th album in 2021. The mastering was done at the Metropolis Studio in London, England, and the music video for 'Deep Inside' was filmed on location in Taiwan.
