Lotte Duty Free has reappointed the girl group aespa as its global model, significantly strengthening its K-Pop-centered marketing strategy.
On the 9th, Lotte Duty Free announced that it has selected aespa as its global model and has built a K-Pop model lineup alongside Kickflip and Hats to Hearts, which have been active since January. The company explained that aespa has a successful partnership history, having served as a model for Lotte Duty Free for two years since 2022, contributing to enhancing brand value, which led to this reappointment.
Lotte Duty Free plans to launch digital campaigns utilizing outdoor advertising at key stores and social media, centered around the K-Pop model lineup of aespa, Kickflip, and Hats to Hearts. Through this, they aim to attract multinational foreign tourists utilizing fandom not only in Korea but also across Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
Namgoong Pyo, head of the marketing division at Lotte Duty Free, stated, "We expect that collaborating again with aespa, a representative K-Pop artist, will maximize global marketing synergy," and added, "We plan to strengthen customized marketing to provide differentiated shopping experiences to global customers throughout this year."
