“HUMINT” Meets Viewers Worldwide! Netflix Release Confirmed for April 1!

The film 〈HUMINT〉​, which won audiences’ praise for its exhilarating action and tightly woven emotional arcs, will meet viewers around the world on Netflix on April 1st. 〈HUMINT〉​ is a story of people with different agendas clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are buried beneath an icy sea.

〈HUMINT〉​ follows four people who each head to Vladivostok in search of clues into an incident in the border region between North Korea and Russia. It is the latest work from director Ryoo Seung-wan, who has built his own cinematic universe with films such as 〈Smuggling〉, 〈Mogadishu〉, and 〈Veteran〉. The film drew strong anticipation even before it was released. Also, top-tier actors including Jo In-sung, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-jun, and Shin Se-kyung heighten the film’s immersion by vividly portraying the conflicts that erupt as each character’s complicated relationships and emotions collide. In particular, the action is tailored to each character’s traits and connections—hand-to-hand combat, firearm action, and car chases—delivering an intense sense of catharsis. Adding to that, the Latvia setting captures the frozen atmosphere of Vladivostok to the fullest, offering overwhelming visuals you won’t be able to look away from, while also fueling tension that feels all too real as the characters’ emotions move within that world. Now, 〈HUMINT​〉​, which has received a lot of love from domestic audiences, will be unveiled to viewers around the world through Netflix, and expectations are high that its momentum will continue.
