BTS has captivated fans around the world with the sudden release of a remix album that carries on the momentum of the title track from their 5th full-length album, ‘Swim (SWIM).’
Multiple genre variations shaped by the individuality of seven members
Their agency, BigHit Music, announced that on the 27th at 1:00 p.m., it released the remix album ‘KEEP SWIMMING’. Based on the original track ‘Swim,’ the album features a total of nine songs, including seven remix versions that maximize the members’ musical tastes and distinct personalities.
RM fused the calm Chill Hip Hop genre into the original. Through a softer, more comfortable melody, he unfolded the original lyrics about overcoming life’s waves in a more meditative atmosphere. Jin unveiled an Alternative Rock version that combines bridge rock and punk. With intense guitar sounds and energetic vocals, he powerfully expressed the determination to keep moving forward without stopping.
Suga added depth to the song with Melodic Techno, where the three-dimensional club sound stands out. Finely layered beats create a sophisticated sense of space. J-Hope released an Afrobeat version led by guitar and piano melodies infused with a Latin sensibility. The distinctive rhythmic and exotic groove doubles the fun of listening.
Jimin maximized the charm of his sensual yet emotional vocals with a Slow Jam R&B version that blends soulful guitar with gentle keyboard sounds. V showcased an urban, polished sensibility through an Electronic remix featuring standout heavy bass and altered sound textures. Jungkook completed the warm, comforting emotion unique to the original even more by layering acoustic Lo-fi guitar sounds with a cozy voice.
