Big Ocean ENM (CEO Shin In-soo, Lee Seong-jin) has officially unveiled its latest lineup of productions and development projects, and in 2026 it continues to draw strong expectations from audiences both at home and abroad. So far, Big Ocean ENM has delighted viewers with a wide range of content across genres, including the dramas ‘Our Beloved Summer’, ‘Hot-Blooded Prosecutor 2’, ‘Chaebol Detective’, ‘Tomorrow’, ‘Paper Moon’, and ‘Nothing to Lose: Lies’, as well as the Netflix film ‘Night of the 8th Day’, and the play ‘My Mister’ co-made with its subsidiary T2N Media. In 2026, the company is expected to keep the box-office and ratings momentum going with even more expanded genres, including comedic crime procedurals, healing stories, and romance, while also driving explosive sales growth.

◆ The Return of 〈Chaebol X Detective Season 2〉 With Even Bigger-Scale, Heart-Pounding Satisfaction
The drama ‘Chaebol X Detective,’ which received strong requests for a Season 2 right after wrapping up in 2024, is finally back for another run. If Season 1 showcased the chaebol heir Jin Soo (played by Ahn Bo-hyun) and his dramatic growth, then Season 2 will highlight Jin Soo’s upgraded “flex detective” mode after completing police academy training. In particular, with Joo Hae-ra (played by Jeong Eun-chae)—a former police academy instructor—joining as the new team leader, a fresh synergy between her and Jin Soo is highly anticipated.

◆ A Wild Fantasy Unfolding in a Mysterious Candy Shop 〈Odd Candy Shop Jeon Cheon Dang〉
Built on the popularity of the original work, which sparked a syndrome-like wave after surpassing 2 million cumulative copies sold, ‘Odd Candy Shop Jeon Cheon Dang’ will finally be unveiled to audiences in the first half of 2026. This mystery fantasy drama tells the story of Hong Ja (played by Ra Mi-ran), the owner of the mysterious candy shop ‘Jeon Cheon Dang,’ who sells candies that grant wishes to people who visit. Carrying forward the original’s explosive buzz, it is expected to reignite the fantasy-genre craze once again.
◆ Sweet but Savage Military + Office Romance, 〈The Relationship Set in Stone〉
The newly confirmed Netflix original series ‘The Relationship Set in Stone’ promises a romance built on a distinctive premise. It follows the “relationship-reversal office romance,” in which Woo-ami—who once seemed like a venomous snake—shows up as a new company hire in front of Na Jeong-seok (Park Hyung-sik), the flawless CEO of a camping-outdoor brand. The project brings together Director Nam Seong-woo (who helmed ‘Nothing to Lose: Lies’ and ‘The Boy Next Door’), along with Writer Kim Ha-na (from ‘My Heart Is Racing’ and ‘Anxious Romance’). Viewers can look forward to the many charms powered by the sweet-but-savage chemistry between lead actors Park Hyung-sik and Park Gyu-young.

◆ The Return of a Suspense-Series Special Drama With a 52.2% Peak Rating 〈M: Reboot〉
Reinterpreted for modern times, the suspense-series mini ‘M,’ which set an astonishing record with a 52.2% peak rating when it aired in 1994, is getting rebooted. Directed by Lim Dae-woong, who has stood out in the horror-thriller genre with works such as ‘Cheongdam International High School 2,’ ‘It Became Night,’ and the film ‘House in the Time of the Hour,’ the series is scripted by Hong Eun-mi, the writer behind the films ‘Missing: The Story of the Missing Woman’ and ‘Hidden Face.’ The production team aims to revive legendary horror with a modern sensibility.
◆ A Chaotic Political Comedy From a First-Term Lawmaker Who Ran Toward Justice 〈First-Term Lawmaker〉
The film ‘First-Term Lawmaker’ is a political comedy-adventure about a rookie lawmaker who accidentally lands a seat in the National Assembly and then unfolds his own brand of politics in Yeouido, where obstruction and persuasion from vested interests are rampant. The film is drawing major attention because it is based on an essay collection, ‘Honey, Please Help Me,’ published by the late former President Roh Moo-hyun in 1994. Through the protagonist’s question, “What is the right kind of politics?”, the story is told in a fun, uplifting way, growing alongside democracy, and begins full-scale production in 2026.
◆ A Global Crossover Project 〈K-Pop Afrobeats Film Project (Working Title)〉
Set as the first domestic joint-production film in Seoul, it is a global project that brings together the worldwide influence of K-pop (K-POP) and Afrobeats. It is directed by Myung Hyun-woo, the director of the drama ‘Check-in Hanyang,’ and captures Seoul’s diverse charms, with the screenplay led by writers Kim Yu-jun and Lee Hyo-jin. In particular, Nancy of the girl group Momoland and well-known local Nigerian actors have joined as leads, raising expectations among global fans.

◆ A Taste of K-Content Coming to Kazakhstan! 〈Prince of My Alone〉, 〈That Guy Inside Me〉
Big Ocean ENM is partnering with the Kazakh production company ‘Kinopark’ to launch remake productions that leverage know-how from Korean content. ‘Prince of My Alone,’ which achieved a major hit as a Korea-Vietnam co-production, and the film ‘That Guy Inside Me,’ beloved across domestic and international Asia, are set to be remade for Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is emotionally close to Korea and is also one of the countries that actively consumes K-content. Both works are currently coordinating details such as specific casting and production timing, with the goal of starting production in 2026.

◆ A Fresh Chemistry From an Idol Brought Into Reality 〈iii〉
In August 2025, the multinational girl group ‘iii’ (I-I-I-I), debuted in a world where AI crosses into real life, received a hot response with the single ‘RE:AL iii.’ Growing through global activities—such as making its Japanese debut and participating in ‘Dream Concert Abu Dhabi 2025’—they plan to unveil their next album in 2026. In addition to music, they will expand their presence even further by carrying out a variety of activities, including acting and variety shows.
◆ The Performing Arts Division Subsidiary T2N Media Presents Theater 〈Jeong Hee〉, 〈Blinding Eyes〉, and 〈The Shin Hae-cheol Project〉
T2N Media, Big Ocean ENM’s theater-focused subsidiary, is fully driving its OSMU (One Source Multi Use) strategy to expand IP (intellectual property) and is also making its mark in the performing arts. First, last year’s premiere play ‘My Mister’ brought the emotional impact of the drama original to the stage. Then, in 2026 as well, it continues to ride the wave of box-office excitement by holding regional performances in places such as Incheon, Changwon, and Suwon.

Going further, T2N Media will also present a narration distinct from the original through the spin-off play ‘Jeong Hee’, which expands the world of ‘My Mister.’ Opening on March 23, the show centers on Jeong Hee (Oh Na-ra), the owner of Jeong Hee’s bar in the drama, and delves deeply into the unfinished love story between her and Deok-yeong (Park Hae-jun), offering audiences a profound emotional resonance.
Also, in June, the theater adaptation ‘Blinding Eyes’—based on the drama that aired on JTBC in 2019 and was dearly loved—will make its first appearance. The production aims to reach audiences by reenacting the touching narrative where the original’s youth and the later stages of life intersect, starring actors Kim Hye-ja and Han Ji-min, through vivid performances by the cast on stage.
Additionally, a large-scale project using music IP is also in the works. T2N Media is planning and developing the ‘Shin Hae-cheol Project’ musical, based on the best-known songs by the late artist Shin Hae-cheol, who was called ‘the King of the Underworld.’ The team aspires to create a high-quality musical that not only soothes the hearts of fans who miss his music, but also captures a universal story broad enough to reach even younger audiences who may not yet be familiar with Shin Hae-cheol’s songs.
A representative from Big Ocean ENM said, “As the lineup diversifies in 2026, we plan to deliver comfort and fun to viewers and audiences with a wide variety of content,” adding, “We will do everything we can to produce uniquely distinctive content that allows Big Ocean ENM to secure a clear foothold in the expanded K-content market.”
