AKMU (AKMU), Melon (Melon) Breakthrough with “2.5 Billion Cumulative Streams”… “Best Record Among Mixed-Gender Groups” Achieved

The sibling duo AKMU (AKMU) has surpassed 2.5 billion cumulative streams on Korea’s largest music platform Melon (Melon), setting a new milestone in Korean music history. This marks the best record among mixed-gender groups in the domestic market, showing their broad appeal and musicality through an overwhelming performance.

Just Seven Songs: 100 Million-Stream Hits After 12 Years

According to Melon’s Music Big Data Analysis content, Data Lab, announced on the 14th, AKMU (AKMU) has logged a cumulative total of 2,536,170,000 streams since their debut in 2014. In particular, they have seven tracks sometimes referred to as “100 million streaming” songs—each with more than 100 million streams—and it’s a blockbuster record achieved by only 17 teams among all artists registered on Melon.

  • “Love You Until the End of Goodbye, You’re the One I Love” (448.39 million streams)

  • “For Many Days, For Many Nights”

  • “200%”

  • “Falling”

  • “Give Love”

  • “DINOSAUR”

  • “Love Lee”

A Song Picked by “Han Kang, Winner of the Nobel Prize”… The Myth of Long-Term Chart Rules

“Love You Until the End of Goodbye, You’re the One I Love,” which recorded the highest streaming count, stayed on Melon’s daily chart for no fewer than 1,046 consecutive days, achieving the remarkable feat of becoming the 15th longest-charting song of all time. The track, which has entered the year-end chart for seven straight years, has been highlighted again after being recently recommended by the “Nobel Prize winner Han Kang”, once more proving the explosive buzz.

In addition, the song’s cumulative “likes” count has surpassed 494,000, and it currently sits at No. 2 in Melon’s history among all songs, following “BTS”’s “Spring Day.”

A Unique Artist Loved by Both the Public and Critics

Regarding this record, Melon said, “AKMU (AKMU) is a unique artist who, alongside popular success, also earns strong praise from music critics at the same time.” Their achievement of 2.5 Billion Streams is not just a number—it is the result of proving musical depth and influence that resonate across generations.
