[First Impressions] CINEPLAY Reporter Star Ratings for “Super Mario Galaxy”

Now it’s back in a bigger way, going beyond the Mario universe and briefly stepping into the Nintendo universe. The power of the BGM and sound effects from the Super Mario series is, as expected, strong. The scenes that it lends support to are so thrilling you’d want to clap—but the story’s “bite” is still almost nonexistent, so overall it feels kind of dull. Still, since it doesn’t do anyone any harm in a franchise celebrating its 40th anniversary, let’s all say, Here we go!
