GS Retail-operated convenience store GS25 said on the 3rd that it will roll out limited-edition collaboration products one after another that leverage the globally popular intellectual property (IP) 'Super Mario Galaxy'.
The collaboration was planned to ride on the popularity of the animated film of the same name, which has been creating a box-office boom in theaters recently. What sets it apart is that it goes beyond simply launching products—adding special goods and striking discount benefits aimed at a loyal fanbase.
The products to be released include 'Super Mario lunch box', 'Mushroom pizza sand', 'Mario 3-tier power-up burger' and a total of nine diverse items such as popcorn and jelly. In particular, the lunch box item includes, at random, one out of 13 limited-edition 'keycaps' featuring popular characters like Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi, engraved to create high demand among collectors.

A GS Retail official said, "We wanted to provide customers with a unique kind of fun through a collaboration with the Super Mario IP, which has a large fandom," adding, "In celebration of May, Family Month, we plan to continuously introduce a variety of products and plenty of events that the whole family can enjoy."
