The four leads of 〈Yoo Jae-suk Camp〉 shared their thoughts, raising expectations with fantastic chemistry.
A Meeting of a Rookie Camp Host and Awkward-Looking Staff Netflix original variety program 〈Yoo Jae-suk Camp〉 features rookie camp host Yoo Jae-suk and unpredictable staff members Lee Kwang-soo, Byeon Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun. Together with their guests, they talk non-stop, play around, and mess about—completing an everyday escape through a group camp variety show. It is set to be released on May 26. 〈Total Chaos, Board Challenge〉 Jeong Hyo-min PD’s team prepared this new program, and on May 4, they unveiled still cuts showing the four—including Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Kwang-soo, Byeon Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun—who are working hard, yet somehow seem a bit clumsy.
Yoo Jae-suk and Lee Kwang-soo: “A Time When We Forgot Everything and Went Back to Childhood” They also shared their impressions along with the still cuts. Yoo Jae-suk said, “I was very nervous and curious about what was going to happen. People who had been living their own different lives gathered together, played games, and talked with each other—before we knew it, we became one, laughing and having fun. That moment stands out the most. I hope viewers watch it while imagining that they were at the camp with us, too.” Lee Kwang-soo said, “From the moment we thought about recruiting the guests, I figured it would be fun. I was excited and looking forward to it once we got to do it together.” He then added, “Personally, it was like an experience of ‘a comma’ for me—while the guests who have lived their lives intensely also enjoyed the camp and, for a little while, forgot everything. Watching this, I hope viewers can feel like they’ve gone back to childhood as well.”
Byeon Woo-seok and Ji Ye-eun: “Comfortable and Unexpectedly Charming” Byeon Woo-seok said, “It still doesn’t feel real that I can work wearing the same name tag as Senior Yoo Jae-suk. I was honored to be able to work together with staff members full of sense and wit like Hyung Kwang-soo and Ye-eun.” He continued, “I think we’ll be able to show a different side from what you saw in the work—something even more comfortable and natural. Since it’s a new challenge, we had a great time filming, so I hope you’ll enjoy watching it.” Ji Ye-eun also said, “I hope you enjoy seeing those comfortable, relaxed sides.” She added, “It felt even more special because it brought to mind the kind of atmosphere we used to imagine for training camps when we were kids. The guests’ unexpected charms and the chemistry that formed naturally will be impressive.” Pointing out key viewing highlights, she further teased viewers’ anticipation. 〈Yoo Jae-suk Camp〉 will be available on Netflix on May 26.
