Salvador Dalí’s crew is back again.
Netflix posted a video titled ‘The world of ‘Money Heist’ continues | Official Announcement | Netflix’ on May 10 (based on North America). In Korea, it was released under the title ‘《The world of ‘Money Heist’ continues | Official Announcement | Netflix》.’ In about a minute, the video briefly features the story of 〈Money Heist〉, Netflix’s flagship series that was released in five total parts from 2017 to 2021.
〈Money Heist〉 is a drama produced in Spain, depicting a group of eight criminals who come together without knowing each other’s identities, carrying out a large-scale robbery operation according to a plan devised by a once-in-a-generation genius known as ‘The Professor.’ In particular, as the drama became popular worldwide, even the Salvador Dalí masks used by the robbers in the show rose to the status of an icon. By unveiling the video, Netflix explicitly said, “But there is one thing that’s clear: the revolution never ends.”, hinting that a new story of 〈Money Heist〉 is in the works.
〈Money Heist〉 has already expanded its universe with the Korean remake series 〈Money Heist: Joint Economic Area〉 after the original ended, as well as the prequel drama 〈Berlin〉, among others. As for the new project currently being prepared, both what it will cover and when it will be released are still undecided.
