Actor Jung Woo has found a new home at Saram Entertainment.

On the 11th, Saram Entertainment announced that it has signed an exclusive contract with actor Jung Woo. The agency said, "Jung Woo is an actor who sparks a syndrome with his distinctive, sincere acting and a powerful presence," adding, "We will continue this meaningful journey so that his unique color and capabilities can shine even brighter, as he handles everything from bold performances to grounded, realistic acting and heavy emotional arcs with a wide range." With this, Jung Woo is stepping into a new turning point after leaving his previous agency of eight years.

After making a strong impression on audiences with the film 'Wind,' in which he directly wrote the script and contained a personal, autobiographical story in 2009, Jung Woo went on to take on the role of 'Trash' in tvN 'Reply 1994,' sparking a nationwide syndrome with his impeccable dialect acting and detail-oriented expressiveness. He then built a solid filmography by taking on a variety of characters as he moved between the big screen and the small screen—through films such as 'Ssay so Bong,' 'Himalaya,' and 'Re:Trial,' as well as dramas including 'The Greatest Lee Soon-shin,' 'A Miracle Brother,' and KakaoTV's 'This Zone's Crazy X.'

Jung Woo is currently expanding his horizons not only as an actor but also as a creator, showing active momentum. In 'Crayon Shin-chan,' the follow-up to 'Wind,' he proved his broadened capabilities by taking on not only the screenplay but also the director role. Currently in theaters, 'Crayon Shin-chan' surpassed 300,000 cumulative viewers within 13 days of release and even climbed to No. 5 in the rankings of highest-grossing Korean films released this year. Attention is focused on the positive synergy that Jung Woo—who has received long-standing love from the public—will create at Saram Entertainment, which counts Gongmyeong, Kim Geum-soon, Park Gyu-young, Soo-hyeon, Lee Soo-hyeok, Lee Yeon-hee, Choi Soo-young, and others among its roster.
