
A first-look set of two posters has been released, drawing attention after 〈Hana Korea〉—a joint production of South Korea and Denmark based on a true story and starring Kim Min-ha, Kim Ju-ryeong and Ahn Seo-hyun—confirmed its release on July 8, showcasing stark color contrasts and the dazzling presence of global top-billed actor Kim Min-ha.
The released 〈Hana Korea〉 first-look posters grab viewers with a vivid clash of red and blue across different settings, portraying the moment North Korean defector ‘Hye-seon’ arrives in South Korea and a new beginning in an unfamiliar place—creating a sense of tension.
First, the cool-toned arrival poster shows North Korean defector ‘Hye-seon’ upon arriving in South Korea after getting on a plane. Through Kim Min-ha’s face, ‘Hye-seon’s’ anxiety and fearful emotions come through clearly. The tagline “Again, in a strange place” reveals ‘Hye-seon’s’ complicated feelings as she stands before a new life with everything left behind, and the image of ‘Hye-seon’ sitting alone between airplane seats hints at the unfamiliar reality and loneliness that will unfold ahead, captivating viewers.

The opening poster in a vivid red tone shows ‘Hye-seon’ staring at somewhere while her head is lowered. From ‘Hye-seon’s’ expression, viewers can feel anxiety and tension—and the determination to endure a new life. 〈Hana Korea〉, which unveiled the first-look posters that hook both viewers’ attention and their hearts, is a work that drew buzz after winning the audience award in the Flash Forward section at the 30th Busan International Film Festival.
