First, ‘David’ is shown clutching a stone in his hand, gazing straight ahead with eyes that don’t waver—displaying the boy’s sturdy courage and determination, choosing faith over fear. From beyond a vast flower field stained red, ‘David’s’ back view, staring out at the army stretching endlessly, hints at the beginning of an enormous destiny laid out before the ordinary shepherd boy. Well-made animated feature 〈David〉, which completes an epic underdog story with grand scale and moving music, will meet audiences at theaters nationwide on Friday, July 10, including a Korean-language dubbed version featuring top South Korean artists such as Park Bo-gum, Cha Ji-yeon, and Jang Gwang.
