Netflix’s series 〈참교육〉, which depicts the Education Rights Protection Bureau’s relentless efforts to stand with victims and set schools straight, has logged 11,800,000 view counts (a value calculated by dividing viewing time by the work’s total runtime) and 126,200,000 viewing hours. Even in the third week of release, it has kept its spot as No. 1 among global Top 10 non-English shows, drawing widespread attention. In addition, 〈참교육〉 has taken first place in 19 countries including South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia, and has landed on the Top 10 lists across 85 countries.

〈참교육〉 has been building box-office momentum at a rapid pace since the moment it was released, amid enthusiastic responses from viewers around the world. Since its release, it has not only held on to No. 1 in Netflix’s “Today’s Top 10 Series” in South Korea, but also recorded No. 1 on the global rankings within its first week. Moreover, in its second week, it proved that it is a work that earns everyone’s empathy across generations and regions with a performance that surpassed its own. Domestically, it also topped the TV+OTT integrated drama category on the buzz index within just two weeks of release, and through the third week as well, both the series and its actors have been dominating the upper ranks, making the popularity feel palpable (see Gooddata Corporation Fandex buzz ranking).
