〈The Day Without Hands〉 unveiled the script reading scene and signaled the start of full-scale production.
The film 〈The Day Without Hands〉 is the latest work by director Heo Jeong, who previously directed 〈Hide and Seek〉 and 〈The Wailing Beast〉, among others. The story follows one day in which Woo-jin, played by Ahn Jae-hong, who is preparing to move into a new house, meets shaman Tae-joo, played by Byeon Yo-han, who must perform a spirit-summoning ritual after strange omens appear to Woo-jin’s wife, Hee-yeon, played by Ha Yoon-kyung.
〈The Day Without Hands〉 released photos from its script reading attended by the three lead actors—Byeon Yo-han, Ahn Jae-hong, and Ha Yoon-kyung—on June 29. First, Byeon Yo-han, who plays shaman Tae-joo, showed himself immersing in the script with his short hair, previewing how he will transform in the film. Ahn Jae-hong, who plays Woo-jin, a lawyer chasing logic and reason, peered into the script with a serious expression, building expectations for a cool image. Ha Yoon-kyung, who plays Woo-jin’s wife Hee-yeon, captured the unsettling look of her character as if she were staring at her counterpart, hinting at what she will show in the story.
CGV Pictures, a new company established as CGV entered the 2025 investment-and-distribution business, is investing and distributing the main film 〈The Day Without Hands〉. The production began with a crank-in on June 14, and shooting is continuing. With three actors who bring solid acting skills coming together, expectations are high for the birth of a well-made thriller that will deliver intense suspense to theaters.
